Maribeth Woodford

Maribeth Woodford is the Assistant General Manager and Marketing Manager at Monmouth Flow Yoga & Wellness, where she brings together her passion for yoga, community, creativity, and real life experience. Before stepping into this role, Maribeth was the former owner of SUKHA Yoga, known by many as “The Non Intimidating Yoga Studio.” What started as a personal yoga journey eventually grew into a welcoming space where students of all levels felt comfortable, supported, and seen.
Ironically, Maribeth never intended to teach yoga after teacher training. A few classes at a local gym and with Manasquan Recreation unexpectedly began to grow through word of mouth, eventually leading her to open SUKHA. For eight years, the studio became a place rooted in authenticity, connection, laughter, and community.
Like many small business owners, the challenges of 2020 changed everything. As a single mom with two children approaching college, the financial uncertainty brought on by COVID made it too risky to keep the studio doors open. Maribeth made the difficult decision to close SUKHA and return to corporate America, where she spent three years rebuilding professionally.
Then came another unexpected turning point. Maribeth, along with many others, was laid off due to AI and automation. Instead of resisting the change, she chose to embrace it. She immersed herself in learning AI, creativity, branding, and digital marketing, eventually building a successful AI creative business while continuing to evolve professionally and personally.
Today, Maribeth is incredibly grateful to be back in the yoga world at Monmouth Flow, combining her background in business, marketing, wellness, and storytelling. In addition to her leadership role, you’ll often find her subbing classes and teaching her popular signature class, “Music Speaks Dharma.”
Music Speaks Dharma is more than a yoga class. It is an experience blending meaningful dharma talks about life, resilience, growth, relationships, and personal experiences with carefully curated music from all genres. The class is motivating, emotional, fun, reflective, and deeply human, reminding students that yoga is not just practiced on the mat, but lived every day.
